Oxide-on-metal as an inverted design of oxygen electrocatalysts for non-aqueous Li-O2 batteries

A wheat-like Ag-Mn3 O4 nanocatalyst consisting of a metal core and oxide shell was found to be as active as the state-of-the-art Pt-Au/C catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in non-aqueous Li-O2 batteries.
