NH2 -PS induces ER stress through ROS generation and misfolded protein aggregation. Meanwhile, inhibition of the Akt/mTOR and activation of the AMPK signaling pathway was found to trigger autophagic cell death via an increase of autophagic flux or blockage of autophagosome-lysosome fusion.
