Depletion force induced collective motion of microtubules driven by kinesin

We demonstrate the first-ever collective motion of gliding microtubules on a kinesin coated surface by employing depletion force among the filaments, which is an attractive interaction known to work between colloidal particles or macromolecules suspended in a polymer solution.
