The effect of Pd doping on the ligand-exchange reactivity of Au₂₅ (SC₁₂ H₂₅ )₁₈ was studied and the results clearly demonstrate that Pd doping greatly increases the rate of ligand exchange of Au₂₅ (SC₁₂ H₂₅ )₁₈ .
