1% solar cells derived from ultrathin carbon nanotube photoabsorbing films

(author unknown)

Matthew J. Shea and Michael S. Arnold

Using a carbon nanotube photoabsorbing film <5 nm in thickness, we demonstrate a 1% solar cell. Specifically, polymer wrapped, highly monochiral (7, 5) nanotubes are implemented in a bilayered heterojunction with acceptor C60. The nanotubes drive 63% of the conversion, several times stronger than ... [Appl. Phys. Lett. 102, 243101 (2013)] published Mon Jun 17, 2013.
