Surface engineering on CeO2 nanorods by chemical redox etching and their enhanced catalytic activity for CO oxidation

A facile chemical redox etching method was developed to realize the continuous adjustment of the surface properties of ceria nanorods. The treated ceria nanorods exhibited increased surface properties, resulting in enhanced catalytic CO oxidation.
