High-yield synthesis and optical properties of g-C3N4

High-yield synthesis of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) via a sealed heating method is demonstrated. The average yield could be improved to as high as 61%. Structural and optical characterizations confirm the high quality of the g-C3N4 products.
