Custom-shaped metal nanostructures based on DNA origami silhouettes

DNA origami-shaped silhouettes are formed on a silicon dioxide layer, which can be used as patterning masks for further etching of silicon and metal evaporation thus creating custom nanoshapes out of different metals (gold, copper and silver).
