A dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) composed of nanosized TiO2 single crystals with tunable (001) facets for enhanced solar cell performance is developed by Gao Qing (Max) Lu, Lianzhou Wang, and coworkers on page 4167. The performance improvement is due to the increased proportion of exposed active (001) facets, which are not only favorable for dye adsorption but also effectively retard charge recombination in DSSC.
