Through the designated growth of bismuth oxohalide nanoplates on TiO2 nanoribbons, a new family of hybrid frameworks combining mesoporosity, visible light absorption, and efficient photo-induced charge separation were prepared. The synergetic effect enables the hybrid frameworks to be bifunctional.
