Rational nanostructuring of surfaces for extraordinary icephobicity

A rational methodology for designing surfaces with extraordinary resistance to ice formation is employed. The so obtained surfaces show robust ice nucleation temperatures and freezing delays of [similar]25 hours at -21 [degree]C.
