Porous nano-structured Co3 O4 spheres with high purity were successfully synthesized from coordination-driven self-assembled aggregates (CDSAAs), which exhibited high lithium storage capacity, superior cycling performance and excellent coulombic efficiency as anode materials for LIBs.
