Self-assembled coronene nanofibers: optical waveguide effect and magnetic alignment

Nanofibers of coronene self-assembled via [small pi]-[small pi] stacking interactions can be magnetically aligned on a substrate and these nanofibers function as active waveguides that propagate their fluorescence over a millimeter scale distance.
