Aqueous synthesis of PEGylated copper sulfide nanoparticles for photoacoustic imaging of tumors

PEGylated copper sulfide nanoparticles with 3-7 nm size were synthesized through an aqueous synthetic route. In vivo photoacoustic tumor imaging revealed that smaller particles (<5 nm) exhibited more effective contrast enhancement.
