The 1.4-fold enhancement of the performance for binary Rux-Ti1-xO2[middle dot]nH2O supercapacitors relative to RuO2 is mainly due to the structural distortion of RuO6 octahedra and the improvement in crystallinity of RuO2 induced by Ti dopants, which facilitates the electron transportation pathways.
