Highly fluorescent tetrazine-modified TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by the reaction of triethoxysilane-appended chloroalkoxy tetrazine (ESTZ) with TiO2 nanoparticles through a condensation reaction between the surface hydroxyl groups of an electrode and the silane anchor group of ESTZ.
