A sustained doxorubicin delivery system based on DNA-wrapped halloysite nanotubes is designed and its cellular interactions such as cytotoxicity, cellular uptake, effects on organization of actin cytoskeleton and morphology of adenocarcinomic human alveolar basal epithelial A549 cells are demonstrated.
