Cu7.2S4 nanocrystals: a novel photothermal agent with a 56.7% photothermal conversion efficiency for photothermal therapy of cancer cells

As-prepared Cu7.2 S4 nanocrystals showed a high photothermal conversion efficiency (56.7%) and good photostability, and thus they can be used as a novel promising photothermal therapy agent for targeted treatment of cancer.
