Organic solar cells were made using completely solution-processed, earth-abundant copper-nickel nanowires as the transparent anode. Organic solar cells based on copper-nickel nanowires exhibit an efficiency of 4.9%, nearly identical to the efficiency of solar cells with silver nanowire-based anodes.
