Probing charge transfer in a novel class of luminescent perovskite-based heterostructures composed of quantum dots bound to RE-activated CaTiO3 phosphors

RE (RE = Eu and Pr) doped CaTiO3 were synthesized using two distinctive methodologies and then coated with CdSe QDs. Resulting heterostructures evinced charge transfer between the CaTiO3 host and the attached QDs.
