We here demonstrate a novel approach to self-supported Pt nanoclusters via galvanic replacement from Cu2 O nanocubes, which enables a catalytically clean Pt surface. The as-fabricated Pt nanoclusters show superior electrocatalytic activity and long-term durability to commercial Pt materials.
