A sensitive electrochemical DNA biosensor is fabricated by immobilizing a capture probe on a Au electrode, which then hybridizes with the target DNA, and further hybridizes with a DNA-Au conjugate. The detection limit of this DNA biosensor can be as low as 50 fM.
