In a recent paper, Stengl and Henych reported the fabrication of monolayered MoS₂ dots by refluxing MoS₂ nanosheets in ethylene glycol (EG) and the observation of excitation-dependent blue photoluminescence (PL), which were attributed to the formed MoS₂ dots.
