InP/ZnS as a safer alternative to CdSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots: in vitro and in vivo toxicity assessment

In vitro and in vivo analyses of the toxicity induced by two QDs with comparable physico-chemical properties, but different particle cores. Results show that InP/ZnS QDs are not toxic, unlike cadmium-based ones.
