A Prussian blue analogue has been explored as a novel precursor for large scale synthesis of nanostructured LiCoO2 single crystalline and porous Fe2 O3 @Nix Co3-x O4 nanocubes. The as-derived nanocrystals exhibit excellent lithium storage properties when used as electrode materials for Li-ion batteries.
