A novel Pt/I-IL (10)/GNP electrocatalyst has been developed for methanol oxidation. Compared with the commercial Pt/C catalyst from Johnson Matthey, the as-prepared Pt/I-IL (10)/GNP catalyst shows higher catalytic activity and better stability.
